Feedy, a popular Facebook page, recently posted three remarkable pictures of an 80-year-old grandmother posing with her giant crocheted cat. While many viewers have been captivated by the apparent realism of the images, I am inclined to believe that they have been created using artificial intelligence and photo-editing techniques. It seems implausible that such impressive images could have been produced by human hands alone. My opinion is supported by two key factors. Firstly, the cats in the photographs are unimaginably large, and creating them would require a tremendous amount of time, effort, and investment. Therefore, it would be much simpler to digitally enhance a regular-sized cat to appear larger. Secondly, one of the pictures displays the woman’s left hand as unnaturally elongated, indicating an error in editing.
The photo editing skills displayed in these images are truly remarkable, but the creator’s identity remains a mystery. My initial guess was that the creator might be a Chinese man, but I have since found out that I was wrong. Interestingly, the videos feature Chinese individuals, which further fueled my speculation. However, I have now discovered that the creator is actually a talented Ukrainian woman named Lydia. You can check out her story on Instagram via the link provided. In addition to photo editing, Lydia also excels in crochet. It’s worth noting that these impressive images have been widely shared on various social media platforms, including Russian and Chinese websites. Despite being an avid internet user, this is the first time I’ve stumbled upon them.
