Bina was discovered in a desolate field, abandoned and barely two weeks old. The temperature was scorching at 40 degrees, and she had no signs of her mother or other herd members nearby. She was weak, trembling, and holding onto survival by a thread.

While hiking, a bunch of individuals came across Bina and quickly understood the need to rescue her. They carried her and took her to a nearby animal sanctuary where she received immediate medical care.

Upon examination, the veterinarian confirmed that she was experiencing vision loss, muscle spasms, and poor appetite. There was concern that she may have a nerve problem that required immediate surgical intervention to alleviate any discomfort.

According to the X-rays, it was revealed that Pena had an accumulation of water in her skull, which was causing undue pressure on her brain. Although the surgery was risky, it was the only available option to rescue Pina’s life.

Good news! The surgery went smoothly, and Bina’s condition started improving right after. As days went by, Bina’s strength and appetite returned gradually.
