A mother dog in Fowler, Fresno, California was seen by locals walking three kilometers every day to find food for her 10 puppies. Krystle Woodward, the founder of animal rescue group Pinky Paws ResQ, learned about the situation and was finally able to rescue the dog and her puppies last Thursday. Although Krystle had heard about the dog two months prior, no one had been able to capture her until now. The puppies will soon be adopted thanks to the efforts of the rescue group.
Krystle shared on the organization’s social media page that she had stumbled upon Betty Boop during her break at work. Betty Boop fled when Krystle found her lying down. To rescue Betty Boop, Krystle’s husband quickly drove with the van and saved her during her lunch break on Thursday. A mother dog walks 3 kilometers daily to find food for her puppies. For the past few weeks, more than thirty people have seen her scavenging for food on the outskirts of town, covering miles to feed her offspring.
After finishing my day job, I rushed to the veterinarian’s office until it was well past bedtime. I went there with a sense of urgency to ensure that my furry friend wasn’t infected. The vet broke the news to me that she was nursing, and that realization brought tears to my eyes. I couldn’t help but think about all the little puppies that would go hungry if she couldn’t nurse them.
Last Friday, Betty Boop made an escape attempt by running outside and scaling a fence. The determined dog was desperate to reunite with her puppies. Krystle is now on a mission to find Betty Boop’s offspring. YourCentralValley reports that the puppies were found in the basement of an abandoned building. Krystle’s friend’s son called upon elementary student, Kenneth Stoen, to help rescue the furry babies from their underground hideout.
All of the ten puppies are in good health and have been given unique names such as Amber, Citrine, Copper, Jade, Jasper, Onyx, Opal, Pearl, Rubyloo, and Sage. The owner of their mother expressed her trust by revealing their location which touched the heart of their caregiver who now has a great fondness for them.
