Discovering an animal that is suffering is always a sorrowful sight. Recently, a small dog’s condition has captured the attention and emotions of people across the globe. The dog was discovered in a dump, and her state was so severe that it has caused many to feel compassion for her. Missy, as she is called, was rescued by Lou Sisk, who found her half-starved and on the brink of death. Her condition was so dire that Missy would not have survived much longer if left unaided.
Dublin Shelter reported that Lou immediately took Missy to the veterinarian and unfortunately, the diagnosis was not positive. Had she been left unattended for a longer period of time, she would have lost her life as she was suffering from multiple ailments such as scabies and a severe infection. One of the major issues was an infected uterus that required surgery to be removed.
Missy’s post-surgery recovery was ongoing, but she had expert care to help her along the way. Over time, she started to put on weight and grew steadily stronger. Before she knew it, she was ready to find a loving home for the rest of her life.
Thankfully, it didn’t take her too long to come across a fantastic family that became her own.
