Nonetheless, coach Lionel Scaloni has reassured fans that the number 10 striker is ready to hit the pitch in top form. The head coach of the Argentinian team has stated: “Messi is doing well. He has been training hard in recent days.”
Despite only appearing in one match within the last 25 days, Messi has been regularly training and so I can confidently say that he is still fit and performing well in his job.
In recent times, the story of Messi winning the Ballon d’Or has become a topic of debate for many. There are those who believe that Haaland deserves this title more. Speaking on this issue, Coach Scaloni stated that his protégé deserves the honor.
Coach Scaloni added, “Some people create stories just for the sake of arguing. But personally, I don’t think there’s any debate about whether Messi deserves the Ballon d’Or or not. In my opinion, Leo is always the best.”
Both Messi and Di Maria are expected to play in the 2024 Copa America before retiring from the Argentina national team, according to reports. Coach Scaloni addressed the matter, saying, “We still have a lot of work to do before the Copa America. I don’t like to dwell on nostalgia or speculation.”
I don’t really have much to say about Messi leaving the national team. I think he feels the same way. Let’s just enjoy what Messi and Di Maria bring while they’re still playing for the team.
