“Abandoned Senior Canine Seeks New Loving Home After Owner’s Medical Diagnosis”

Paws Paws has been informed that a dog was abandoned and discovered in a boggy area. In response to the news, a rescuer promptly arrived at the location to investigate the situation. Upon closer inspection, it became apparent that not only was the dog left there, but it also appeared to have some significant health concerns.

Without hesitation, they made the decision to provide refuge for the helpless pup and proceeded to transport him to the closest shelter for proper care. The dog was given the name Iron due to his unwavering determination to endure and survive.

Once the iron was obtained, several tests were conducted to determine if any additional illnesses were present while awaiting the test results.

The doctor and his team began to clean him up and observed that his body was weakened and he had little leg strength. In addition, they noticed that he was not responding as expected.

The medical professional cautioned us regarding the detrimental effects of maggots on his physical well-being. Unfortunately, he was infested with these insects all over his body, and to make matters worse, he had a tumor in his brain that posed a severe threat to his life.

The medical procedure started immediately by removing the magnets from his body. The removal of maggots didn’t pose much difficulty. However, the operation for the brain tumor was quite challenging as the chances of recovery after the surgery were low. Iron’s body was already feeble due to malnutrition and worms in his body.

The positive update is that Iron has made it through, but unfortunately, there is a negative aspect to the situation: he has lost his sight permanently. Despite this setback, his determination to survive was unwavering, which ultimately helped him pull through. Nevertheless, Iron will now have to adapt to life without his vision.

Iron has been released from the hospital, but sadly he finds himself with no place to call home. He has no shelter and no refuge to retreat to. Although he has recently learned to walk again, he is still in terrible pain due to joint issues and requires continuous medical care and medication. Iron is desperate for a family or a home where he can spend his old age in a warm and caring environment, where he can receive the attention and support he needs.
