It is becoming more and more frequent to see stray dogs and other homeless animals wandering around the city of Kraljevo in Serbia.
Goran Marinkovic is an animal lover who has dedicated himself to feeding more than 100 stray dogs and cats from his own pocket. He has plenty of experience rescuing animals, but he was amazed when he found a tiny puppy named Smesten.
Goran is a compassionate animal rescuer who dedicates his time to saving endangered animals living on the streets. He has a deep love and care for all animals, regardless of their species, whether they are cats, dogs or other creatures. Goran’s main mission in life is to ensure that abandoned animals on the streets receive enough food to survive, especially those who don’t have owners. As the number of these animals continues to rise, Goran remains committed to offering them his help and protection.
One day, while feeding a pack of stray dogs, he came across a puppy named Smesten lying amongst a pile of rubbish. The poor little pup was thin and sickly, and there was no sign of its mother. Regrettably, the pup had been using an abandoned shoe as a temporary shelter from the harsh weather.
As soon as the animal enthusiast laid his eyes on the dirty puppy, his heart sank. Goran promptly provided nourishment to the young animal, but he quickly came to the realization that the puppy was too weak to be left unattended.
Goran decided to take the puppy under his care and carried him back home, stopping by the veterinary clinic to get some medication. He set out to nurse the puppy back to good health.
For the next eight months, Goran provided food and attention to the puppy until it started to thrive. Its coat became smooth and spotless, and it became happy and settled. It’s worth noting that the dog has a special affection for Goran, considering him as its role model.
Goran had a plan to put Smesten up for adoption as soon as he was ready, considering the number of dogs and cats he already had at home. But when the puppy grew bigger, Goran realized that he couldn’t bring himself to part with him. He officially adopted Smesten in November, but neither party seems thrilled with the situation.
