It’s hard not to feel emotional when we see dogs that are homeless and neglected. However, not all mother dogs have the same level of courage, dedication, and strength as Si Bao.
The owner of this dog abandoned her, and as fate would have it, she was hit by a train, which resulted in severe injuries to her hind legs. Si Bao felt like there was no hope left until she gave birth to four cute and healthy puppies. These little ones became the driving force for the mother dog to keep fighting despite her challenges.
Becoming a parent has brought newfound happiness to Si Bao’s life. She has developed a strong and unwavering attitude towards taking care of her children, always keeping a watchful eye on them while walking on two feet.
Si Bao’s lucky run has been extended with the assistance of Animals Asia, a philanthropic group established by Jill Robinson. The courageous mother dog and her offspring were saved by the organization, and Si Bao has been selected as an animal representative. He and his surviving pup, Muddie, can now begin a new life at the organization’s main office, rather than foraging for food scraps near the railway tracks.
Furthermore, there has been a recent decision to rename Si Bao as Lelly. Additionally, measures are being taken to enhance Lelly’s mobility by equipping her with prosthetic legs that have wheels. Regrettably, among the four puppies that were saved along with Lelly, three succumbed to a severe fever, and only Muddie managed to survive.
Lelly is living the good life while representing Animals in Asia as their ambassador.
Although Lelly may be petite, her tenacious nature perseveres through any hardship thrown her way.
