Recently, in the village of Saristal in Lori, India, residents were faced with a distressing situation when they discovered a newborn baby abandoned in a makeshift bed made of puppies. The infant was only a few days old, making the situation even more heartbreaking.
When Munnalal Patel was doing his usual tasks, he stumbled upon a newborn baby in a pitiful condition. The infant was naked with the umbilical cord still attached, and surrounded by a group of puppies. Now called Akanksha, she was found in this heart-wrenching situation.
Around 11 AM, we stumbled upon a newborn baby girl crying and lying next to some puppies in our village. This discovery was quite alarming, so we immediately contacted the health department for assistance. The newborn was then transported to the hospital for further examination.
The locals were amazed by the incredible survival of a delicate baby during a freezing night. According to some, the puppies had gathered around her to provide warmth, which could be the reason for her survival. A few also believed that a mother dog might have discovered her vulnerability and brought her to her own puppies for protection.
According to a local resident, the newborn baby’s survival was likely due to the warmth provided by the mother and her puppies. Despite the common perception of stray dogs being dangerous, these dogs showed remarkable compassion and did not harm the infant. Fortunately, doctors found that the baby was unharmed. The Child Line Project is currently caring for the baby, while authorities are searching for her biological parents. It is important to note that child abandonment is not only unethical but also illegal. The incident has prompted an investigation to locate the baby’s parents and ensure her ongoing safety. The puppies involved in saving the baby’s life have become local heroes, and efforts are being made to find them suitable homes.
